Position Summary

We are looking for a graphic designer who is very creative yet grounded. An understanding of business is essential to ensure that the design work will meet the objectives defined by the customer and company.  As we are a small company (in our 10th year of business), everyone pitches in so a 'that's not my job' mentality will NOT work.  Although the primary function is graphic design, customer support will be required as you learn our company, customers and website content management tools.  The position is full-time, but we will consider college students who are close to graduating with the thought of moving from part-time to full-time after graduation. The successful candidate must also be able to have multiple balls in the air without freaking out.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Website Design
• Converting PSD files into HTML 5 websites
• Design of customer logos
• Create custom graphics for both customers and company
• Designing posters and banners and prepping files for print production
• Customer Support

Experience

• 1-4 years design of relevant, demonstrable experience
• Portfolio of completed work required

Knowledge / Skills Required

• Ability to take a little direction, a logo and business objectives and turn them into fantastic, creative design skills.
• A keen attention to detail
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take direction and then work without "over the shoulder supervision"
• Quick, accurate typing

Desired Skills

• Creating and editing basic videos
• Knowledge of JQuery and Java Script
• Extensive use of Microsoft Excel
