GrowNative!
Native plants are the star of this website which is loaded with information such as description, cultural information, uses, height, spread, companion plants and characteristics such as sun and moisture requirements.
Site users add plants to their shopping list with a click of a mouse. This list can then be printed and taken to a Garden Center that carries GrowNative plant material. Finding the garden center is easy with the "Where to buy" lookup function on the site.
Grow Native! uses Clarity's "Online Poll" Tool to gauge customer interest and demand.
Garden Plans have hot links to plant details to help envision the completed garden.
The plant selector queries the GrowNative plant database and returns the plants that meet the search requirment. For example, you may want to find a plant that thrives in full sun, moderate soil, attracts butterfiles and has a yellow flower. This type of search takes just seconds with the 'plant picker'.
Native Notes is an e-newsletter that supplanted the traditional printed newsletter. It eliminates the printing and shipping cost associated with the traditional printed newsletter.
The information in the plant database for the website also "feeds" the online tag ordering system that creates a file that is sent to MasterTag with all the information they need to create the stick and hanging tags.
Bench Cards are created with the Bench Card Wizard using information in the plant database. This can be modifed at the card level. Members login to access these cards to print and use in their garden centers.
