What is the process for a domain transfer?

  1. Clarity will initiate a transfer request. This request will go to the e-mail address on file with the current registrar (i.e. Network Solutions, GoDaddy). Clarity Connect, can NOT chage the e-mail address that can authorize the transfer request.
  2. The "owner" (person receiving the e-mail request) must approve the transfer. If the request is not approved within 48 hours, the transfer request will timeout and will no loger be valid. If the owner approves, the transfer moves to the next phase.
  3. The 'losing' registrar (ala Network Solutions) must approve the transfer. This is usually automated and will generally only fail if the domain is locked or if the original registration is not at least 60 days old.
