Enewsletter Signup Forms

What we need for your new website

Your new website includes a “sign up for our e-newsletter” button. When a visitor clicks it, we need that button to open your signup form so new subscribers go straight into your Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or other email list.

Step-By-Step Instructions

Please create the form in your email system and send us the code (or link) so we can plug it in.

What we need from you

Send ONE of the following:

• The embed / snippet code for your signup form
  (a block of HTML or JavaScript that starts with something like `<form`, `<div`, or `<script`)
  
  - OR - 

• The hosted form URL
  (a web address that opens your signup page, such as `https://xxxxx.list-manage.com/subscribe?...` or a Constant Contact form link)

Also tell us:

• Which system you use (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)

• Which list / audience new signups should go into

That’s it. We’ll install it on the website.

Suggestions:

Keep the form simple; a short form converts better.

• Email address (the only truly 'required' field)

• First & Last Name

• Company Name (may want to require if you want to reduce the number of 'homeowners' signing up)

• Avoid extra required fields (phone, address, birthday, etc.)

• Add a short line such as: “Get seasonal plant tips, events, and specials.”

• Make sure the form is active / published before you send the code

Common E-Newsletter Platforms

Mailchimp

How to get the code:

• Log in to Mailchimp.

• Go to **Forms** → **Other forms**.

• Choose **Embedded form** (or create a new embedded form).

• Select the correct **Audience**.

• Keep fields to email (and first name if you want it).

• Click **Continue**, then **Copy Code**.

• Paste that entire snippet into an email to us.

A second, simpler option:

Forms → Form settings / Share → copy the **hosted signup form URL** and send us that link instead.

Constant Contact

How to get the code:

• Log in to Constant Contact.

• Go to Channels (or Audience Growth) → Sign-up forms.

• Click Create a sign-up form.

• Choose Inline (best for us to place behind your website button)
  - OR -
  Signup landing page if you only want to send a link.

• Name the form something like “Website Newsletter Signup.”

• Keep fields to email (plus first name if desired).

• Choose the correct contact list.

• Activate / publish** the form.

• Send us:Inline form:
   both the **Universal Code** and the **Inline Code** (three-dot menu → View universal code / View inline code), **or**Landing page:** the form’s public URL

Other email systems (Klaviyo, MailerLite, AWeber, etc.)

Look for Signup form, Embed, Share, or Hosted form. 

Copy either the embed snippet, or the public form URL

Then email it to us with the system name.

How to send it

Email your sales rep or support@clarity-connect.com with:

• The snippet and/or URL

• The platform name

• A screenshot of the form if you can (optional, but helpful)

Please send the code as plain text — paste it into the email body, or attach a `.txt` file. Don’t send a screenshot of the code alone; we need the actual text.

Once we have it, we’ll connect it to the newsletter button on your site and let you know when it’s ready to be tested.
